Honolulu, Hawaii May 22, 2014 – Pacxa today announced it was named to the Ingram Micro 2014 SMB 500. The annual list recognizes the top 500 fastest-growing Ingram Micro U.S. channel partners serving the small and midsize business (SMB) market. Ranked at number 260, Pacxa expanded its business with Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world’s largest technology distributor, by more than 42 percent in the past three years. Channel partners named to this year’s SMB 500 list were identified at Ingram Micro’s inaugural 2014 IMOne event, held May 6-10 in New Orleans. As part of the more than 20,000 U.S. solution providers and MSPs who work with Ingram Micro’s U.S. SMB Business Unit, these top-performing companies achieved a three-year compound growth rate of more than 42 percent. Ingram Micro’s annual SMB 500 list is developed in close collaboration with channel research services firm The 2112 Group, Ingram Micro’s Business Intelligence team and U.S. SMB Business Unit. HONOLULU — April 11, 2016 — Pacxa, Hawaii’s largest full-scale information technology (IT) solutions provider, today announced the appointment of three executives to its senior management team. Jim Takatsuka, executive vice president, oversees Pacxa’s Microsoft software and consulting practice, vendor relations, and sales and marketing; Randy Isaki, senior vice president, is responsible for professional and managed services and Doug Shimokawa, vice president Microsoft infrastructure consulting practice oversees Pacxa’s Microsoft product and service offerings. Pacxa has augmented its management team at a time of rapid growth for the company, demonstrated by revenue gains of 74 percent in 2016 alone. The company has also grown to 97 employees in its four years in business.
“We attribute our growth to our ability to expand our offerings — particularly leveraging cloud infrastructure — to meet our clients’ evolving business and technology needs,” said Kelly Ueoka, president and CEO of Pacxa. “With the addition of Jim, Randy and Doug to our management team, we are poised for further growth as we continue to innovate and offer new services to Hawaii companies, regardless of their size.”
Pacxa’s partnerships with technology leaders such as Oracle, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and Dell enable the company to offer a wider range of IT services and creative solutions than was previously available in Hawaii. Pacxa clients include companies such as St. Francis Health Care Systems, Hawaii Gas, First Hawaiian Bank, state government agencies and a number of small- and mid-sized businesses.
As executive vice president at Pacxa, Takatsuka has brought 30 years of technology industry expertise to his role overseeing Microsoft sales and consulting, vendor relations, and sales and marketing. Takatsuka also has deep expertise in sales leadership, strategy and business management that he leverages to drive further innovation within Pacxa.
Before joining Pacxa, Takatsuka spent 15 years as Microsoft’s area manager in Hawaii, where he was responsible for enterprise business development. Prior to that he was team lead for Sun Microsystems’ Hawaii office. Takatsuka began his career at Apple Computer, where he held a variety of technical and sales roles in the San Francisco Bay Area. Takatsuka attended the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in biochemistry.
Isaki oversees Pacxa’s professional services and managed services group. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry to his new role. With his strong leadership capabilities and extensive experience in managing IT teams and providing back office support, he is an integral part of Pacxa’s operational leadership team.
Prior to joining Pacxa in 2012, Isaki was assistant vice president of IT Systems for First Insurance, where he was acting CIO and led the creation of the company’s IT strategic plan, as well as supervising the IT organization.
Shimokawa oversees Pacxa’s infrastructure consulting group as a member of Pacxa’s leadership team. His division manages offerings such as Office 365, Microsoft Azure and other related technologies. Prior to joining Pacxa, Shimokawa was a consultant for Business Solution Technologies and before that, a senior software engineer at Lockheed Martin. He led a number of projects for the Department of Defense in California and Hawaii where he designed, developed and tested software programs for various branches of the DOD. Shimokawa received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Yale University, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
